"We have a historic opportunity. The Trudeau government needs the support of opposition parties to pass Bill C-12 “Canadian Net-Zero Emissions Accountability Act”.
We know this bill falls short of what scientists and communities are demanding. But, we can change that. If opposition parties work together to push for amendments to this bill we can win climate legislation that actually meets the climate emergency with the scale and urgency that’s needed.
We can make that happen. Together, we can speak up to demand ambition and call on our leaders in Ottawa to bring this bill in line with the pillars of a made-in-Canada Green New Deal."
